Dr. Ayesha M. Abdullah, Senior Vice President of Dubai Healthcare City, has received the Leading Woman CEO Award. The honor, part of an awards ceremony to recognize the achievements of business women across industry sectors , was given by Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. “It is an honor to receive this award, which I share with my family and my amazing team at Dubai Healthcare City who inspire me on a daily basis in our efforts realize our vision of creating a health care legacy that we can all be proud of,” said Dr. Ayesha. “At Dubai Healthcare City, 58 percent of our workforce are women. We have proactively implemented a number of best-in-class policies and practices that support the recruitment, retention, and personal development of talented women, resulting in positive outcomes for the whole business.” Dr. Ayesha, an 18-year veteran of the health care and engineering industries, is responsible for driving Dubai Healthcare City’s strategic objectives, planning and operational delivery, developing new businesses, and managing strategic health c are partners. Prior to assuming her role at DHCC, Dr. Ayesha headed the Center for Healthcare Planning & Quality, which was developed by PHMI to serve as the major regulatory body of DHCC.
