Ethan Fener
Director of Health Information Technology

Mr. Fener is Partners Harvard Medical International’s Director of Health Information Technology. He has provided IT vision and leadership on several engagements for PHMI, including the Health Information System selection and implementation for multi-hospital networks in Mumbai, India and Shanghai, China.

Prior to joining PHMI, Mr. Fener was Associate Director of Application Development at Partners HealthCare System, a large academic health care delivery network based in Boston. Mr. Fener was responsible for the clinical database platform which serviced over 9,000 concurrent users and several hundred internally developed clinical applications. He was also the desktop product manager for 28,000 corporate PCs and managed enterprise data integration services which handled over three million transactions daily. 

Prior to the formation of Partners, Mr. Fener was an associate faculty of Harvard Medical School and Director of Information Systems for Radiology at Brigham & Women's Hospital, where he pioneered the development of digital imaging systems and PACS for physician use.
