PHMI's project experience includes work in over 40 countries, ranging from the planning and design of new faciliites and institutions, programs focused on improving quality in existing organizations, and strategic planning for new initiatives.
PHMI has entered into a multi-year agreement with Beijing Novartis Pharma, Ltd. to organize and deliver a series of professional development programs in China.
PHMI will deliver a total of 15 programs over the course of three years, including an annual Clinical Summit for physicians, specialists, and health care opinion leaders that will be held in Beijing and replicated in three other Chinese cities. In addition, PHMI will organize an annual health care management course in Beijing for hospital leaders and administrators. The courses will be taught by a multidisciplinary faculty group drawn from Harvard Medical School as well as academic medical institutions
In April 2009, 120 health care professionals and managers attended the inaugural program in Beijing, which was focused on patient safety and medication management.
Health care managers from across China gathered in Beijing for the first in a series of professional development programs developed by PHMI in cooperation with Beijing Novartis Pharma and the Chinese Ministry of Health.
